Good afternoon!  Today I’m here to share with you some of the latest additions to my etsy shop.  There are some handmade cards using one-of-a-kind vintage pictures like the cute bird above, and this kraft tag set with floral vintage pictures below:

I added more than 10 new items to my etsy shop in this update; I think it’s the cooler weather inspiring me to be creative!  Whatever it is, I hope it continues!  All these items and more are in my shop now; thanks for browsing,

Anthea.

New Washi Tags in my Etsy Shop

Good evening!  This week I’ve been enjoying lovely cold winter weather (lots of rain), as well as making a few new things.  Tonight I’m showing some new tags that are now for sale in my etsy shop.   These are the designs:

I made the patterns on these tags using washi tape!  I used some lovely colour combinations as inspiration, and the gold eyelets and thread make a lovely finishing touch :)   They are now available in my etsy shop.

Thanks for looking at my stuff, have a great weekend,

Anthea.

New tags in my etsy shop

Good evening!  Tonight I’m showing some new tags that are now for sale in my etsy shop.  These are the designs:

The first set are floral pictures from an old children’s book, and for the second I made yo-yos from neon pink fabric and adhered them to kraft cardstock.  Both of these are now available in my etsy shop.

Thanks for looking at my stuff, and have a great weekend!

New things in my etsy shop

Good evening; long time no posts, so I decided to share my latest additions to Cat Trilling, my etsy shop.

Handmade vintage envelopes:

Handmade vintage tags:

Vintage confetti:

Crocheted notebooks with vintage covers:

I love working on my little etsy shop; creating unique handmade things that I then get to wrap up and send to new homes.  I’m constantly humbled (and excited!) when one of my items is purchased-I can’t believe I have over 80 sales!  I know this isn’t a lot compared with other etsy shops, but my focus is always on my unique handmade product, which takes longer than other things I could sell that would take less work.  I put a lot of thought into each item-whether it will fit the overall ‘look’ of Cat Trilling.  I’m grateful to all my buyers who have supported my shop, and I’m always working on new ideas for future items.

Thankyou for browsing through some of the Cat Trilling shelves with me,

Anthea.

Pretty packages

Hello hello!  Time to show some more packages I’ve wrapped recently.  The first couple are some orders from my etsy shop.  For the first one I went with an oval doily, gold trim and a fuchsia motif I crocheted, and for the second one I used washi tape and seam binding.

My third package is a bit different, because it was for my brother’s fiancee last weekend at her baby shower.  In about a month she will give birth to a baby boy (I’ll be an auntie :) ), so I made a package with a boy theme:

I made the bag from brown paper and decorated it with a doily, blue washi tape and string, and I made the card using an index card and a cute vintage picture.  The hardest thing for me is when I have a gift I want to give it straight away, and I had the major part of my gift since before Christmas- baby Emu ugboots!  They are so cute, and Claire and Clark both thought so too.

I really enjoy wrapping gifts, so I hope the recipients like them too!  Have a great night,

Anthea.

New tags in my etsy shop

Good afternoon!  Today I’m showing some new tags that are now for sale in my etsy shop.  These are the designs:

I love these florals and polka dots, and the cool thing is that they are actually fabric!  They’re the same as normal tags, but I used fabric instead of paper for the lovely patterns and texture.  I will make more of these in different patterns and shapes; so far these designs are now in my etsy shop.

Thanks for looking at my stuff, and have a great weekend!

Crocheted gift tags now in my etsy shop

Can you believe it’s November already?  You know what that means-Christmas is getting closer…  So today I thought I would show you some new tags I have just added to my etsy shop.

Red ones and gold ones, with matching thread for tying.  I especially like the gold metallic thread I used, which I think looks Christmassy.  I also used lovely textured cardstock for the tags.

I’ll be back soon with some more new things in my little shop,

Anthea.

New in my etsy shop

Hi!  It’s been a busy few days in my part of the world, but first the most important thing that happened last Saturday…the Cats won the Grand Final!  It was so exciting (and nerve wracking!) I didn’t go to the game but I worked at Chandon in the morning  then watched it when I got home just in time for the start.

Also, I’ve been working away on the invitations for my cousin’s wedding that is taking place on New Year’s Eve.  I’ve now finished the invitations, I just have to write on the envelopes using pretty writing :)

As well as all this, I have managed to upload a few new things in my etsy shop.

Lots of upcycled paper goodness – security envelope gift tags, vintage paper envelopes and mini note card sets with atlas envelopes and sticker seals.  I spent a bit of time on the packaging too; isn’t it cool? :)

I’ve been reading and learning a lot about making my etsy shop better, including things such as packaging and how I package items to send to customers.  One of the best things I’ve learnt is not to rush into anything-spend time working at it until I feel comfortable that it’s right.

I’ll leave you with a pic of an etsy package I sent a few days ago:

Go Cats!!

Making, magazines & markets…

A few random things to show you today.  I’ve been busy putting the final touches to my things for my stall tomorrow, (stressing that I’ve thought of everything), and here’s some more gift tag sets I just finished:

I taught a scrapbooking class Thursday night in which we made some funky flowers from paper, and I was inspired to make up my own for my gift tags.  For all of these I’ve die cut the scalloped square using my Cuttlebug and Nestabilities, then created the flowers in coordinating colours with a brad through the middle.  These are so simple and fun to do!

I worked at Chandon Craft again this afternoon ( I’m always involved in papercraft one way or another :) ), and on the way home I picked up the latest issue of Simply Cards magazine.  My cards are the feature on the front cover!

Scan0001 (Medium)

Here’s a picture of the cover, which shows 2 of my Christmas cards.  Inside you can see the rest of them-I’ve made 6 Christmas cards altogether, showing ways to incorporate your existing sewing supplies into your cardmaking.

So I’ve got some things happening at the moment, but I’ve still managed to start using my new Nook & Pantry paper pad from Basic Grey.  Here’s a few cards I’ve made using these papers with some vintage pictures:

How cute is the little pig with his sleeping cap on?  I love finding these little pictures; especially when I know they will suit a particular card in future.

Phew!  Thankyou for sticking through to the end of my rambling-I have to go and do some final things before tomorrow’s market…. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Bright lollipops

I’ve got a couple of Congratulations cards to show you today, made using the funky bright Heather Bailey papers from Autumn Leaves.

P1020776 (Small)

P1020777 (Small)

I’ve used the Heather Bailey papers and chipboard, as well as paper from Papertrey Ink, a Kaisercraft rubon, and embossed paper.  I made the lollipop flowers using circles of paper that I distressed around the edges, felt, and lace.  These lollipop flowers are so much fun, and easy!  Here’s another gift tag set I made using the same lollipop flowers:

P1020773 (Small)

For these lollipop flowers I cut out circles and flowers from paper and fabric.  I combined pale green, coral, and hot pink, and I really like these colours together.

Have a great week!

Anthea :)
