CPS #209 & pink shoes

Good morning!  Today I’ve got a few cards to show you I’ve made using the latest Card Positioning Systems sketch.  I needed to make some more masculine cards so I used the Social Club range from Cosmo Cricket and vintage truck pictures.

I also used a bit of woodgrain paper, coloured stitching and the stamp is from Papertrey Ink.   These papers are great-love the retro designs.

Recently I discovered Melissa shoes and yesterday I bought a pair for half price!  I love them-they’re fluoro pink, and seriously the most comfortable new shoes I’ve ever put on.  I will be wearing them with navy, burgundy, brown and grey tights this winter.  Aren’t they the cutest?

Have a great weekend!

Hello hello!  Yes, it’s true-I actually have a card to show you today!  I made this card using the Card Positioning Systems sketch for this week.   My inspiration  for this Mother’s Day card was the cool retro lady picture I cut from a sewing pattern.  I used retro style papers from Sassafras, Papertrey Ink and American Crafts for the background.

I’ve got a few more pictures like this I’m going to make into cards too.  I have a lot of ideas at the moment for cards, I think it’s something to do with this being my favourite time of year.  We’re having lovely autumn days with the promise of winter to come… Thankyou for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Hey there!  It’s Wednesday and I’ve got my Father’s Day card to show you that I’ll be giving to my dad this weekend.  I’ve based it on the latest Card Positioning Systems sketch.

My dad loves camping, so this paper from 3 Bugs in a Rug is perfect-love the little caravans!  I’ve also used a Studio Calico journal card, Kaisercraft alphabet stickers, and baker’s twine from Papertrey Ink.  I hope he likes it!  Enjoy the rest of your week,

Anthea.

Happy Friday people!  Another week is nearly gone, and I’ve made a few cards this week.  This first one is for the latest Card Positioning Systems sketch.

Another bright birthday card, made using papers from Papertrey Ink and Basic Grey.  The flower is a Bella chipboard flower I decorated with stickers from the Olivia range and a button and brad are in the middle.  I’ve also added coral buttons and navy ribbon and stitching.  I’m still loving the coral and navy colours together-thanks for looking at my card!

Hi everyone!  I’ve got a few cards to show you today, the first one is based on the current Card Positioning Systems sketch:

I love the October Afternoon Thrift Shop range, it matches my trims and pictures perfectly!  Here I’ve used the Thrift Shop paper, then layered a doily underneath the flower basket picture.  I made the flower from sheet music, and added a shell bead with some wooden beads.  I punched the tag and typed the greeting on my typewriter.

Thanks for looking at my card!

I have a couple of cards today, both made for sketch challenges.  This one is for the Card Positioning Systems blog:

I needed a card for a male in his 20s the other day, and I realised I didn’t really have any for young men in my stash.  It’s so much easier to make cards for boys and older men than young men.  So these were quite a challenge, but I’m happy with the result.  The thing is not to overdo it-hardly any embellishments…  For this card I used papers from various Basic Grey ranges, along with chipboard, a Hambly transparency, and coloured stitching.  Love the navy, pale green & pale blue colour combo!

Thanks for looking at my card!

Hello hello!  The card I have to show you today is for a very special person-my Mum.  I am so grateful for all that she is and has given to us, her children.  I truly could not have a better example of what I aim to be when I am older.  I have made this card based on the latest Card Positioning Systems sketch:

I have used Fancy Pants paper here, as well as old book paper and the rose picture is vintage, as well as the buttons.  The letter stickers are from Making Memories.

I also had a rather exciting thing happen this week-my first order on madeit.com!  I was so excited that I packaged up the cards and posted them off right away-here’s a picture of how I wrapped them up:

Brown paper packages tied up with strings…I love them-and it’s so much better to receive a nicely wrapped parcel, don’t you think?  Ok, that’s all for now, see you again soon!

Happy Friday everyone!  Today I’ve got my Card Positioning Systems card to show you, based on this sketch:

I used Basic Grey paper for this card-it matches the vintage picture so well!  I’ve also used Making Memories letter stickers, ribbon, a velvet brad, and some rhinestones.  I’ve got a busy night tonight-running youth group at church, so bye for now,

Good afternoon, all! I’m having one of those procrastinating days-where there are things I should be doing, but instead I’m making cards for sketch challenges.  Here’s my first one, it’s for the latest Card Positioning Systems sketch:

It’s been a while since I’ve made any sympathy cards, so I’ve used some Basic Grey paper and a vintage picture to make this one.  I don’t go over-the-top with embellishing sympathy cards, so I’ve just layered the papers, added some distressing, and tied twill in a bow.  The sentiment is a Papertey Ink stamp.

Thanks for looking at my card,

Hello!  Today I’ve got some cards to show you.  This first one is for the latest Card Positioning Systems sketch:

For this card I’ve used some Webster’s Pages from my new 6×6 paper pad (these are great-you get a couple of ranges in one pad and the designs fit well on cards!), and the background paper is old book paper in french.  I’ve added rhinestones for a bit of sparkle.

Thanks for looking at my card!
