Just one more little card I finished last night:

A few bits and pieces; Basic Grey & Making Memories paper, a Melissa Frances chipboard flower, sheet music, a vintage button, a metal disc; and I love the mauve and green colour combination!  I like how things you love always seem to go together…

Card Patterns #12 Sketch

I found yet another card challenge blog, and it’s called Card Patterns.  Each week there’s a new sketch to try, and I was inspired to give it a go.

I’ve used Sugared papers, and my new Cuttlebug tulip die, so cute!  Love this sketch, the possibilities are endless…

Flowers for Tuesday

A couple more cards to show you today, just using up some bits and pieces…

This card I made with Marrakech papers, and they go well with this flower pot rub on (the rub on came from a $2 shop!), and I’ve used Cuttlebug embossing borders on either side of the picture.  I cut the tag out, and decorated it with a rub on, rhinestones, and a button.

More Sugared papers, and I’ve used my new Cuttlebug dies on the flower.  The flower is sheet music.  I can tell I’ll be using these dies a lot in future…

CPS #113

Another sketch is up at the Card Positioning Systems blog. Here’s the sketch and my take on it:

For my card I’ve flipped the sketch around, so I can use this super cute duckie picture.  I got the picture from an old children’s book, and it matches the new Lime Rickey paper so well!  These papers don’t need much added to them; I’ve just used ribbon, a tag tied on with a button, and some machine stitching.

Loving those scraps…

I’ve bought some new Wisteria and Lime Rickey papers, but it’s funny; I’m still inspired to use up my scraps.

This is a combination of Making Memories & Basic Grey papers, with some glitter paper, embossing, cool flowers, and lovely ribbon .

For this one I’ve used Basic Grey papers from Ambrosia and Sugared, to go with the little vintage birdie picture.  How cool is the birdie in pink and grey?  Okay, thanks for stopping by & have a great week!

I’m published again!!

I had another exciting moment (funnily enough, I was in Borders again), and the latest issue of Simply Cards magazine has come out!  I’ve got 2 articles in this one, one on Mother’s Day cards, the other on Birthday cards.

I’ve scanned the front cover here, the cards in the middle are from my article; I used Urban Prairie papers for these cards showing how to save money on birthday cards, and top right are the pale pink and green cards I made for Mother’s Day.

I made 6 cards for each article, so I only scanned the cover.  There’s lots of lovely cards, so grab a copy and have a look!  I tell you what, it’s a great feeling to see my work published, made me smile lots and lots!

Basic Grey Challenge #32

It’s Basic Grey Challenge day of the week, and this week we’re using this fantastic sketch from my fellow design team member, the talented Christine.

I used Chris’s funky sketch for this kid’s birthday card.  The Basic Grey papers are from the Ambrosia and Porcelain range, and the picture is from a vintage children’s book.

Got Sketch? #81

Another cool sketch is up at the Got Sketch? blog, and you know I just had to give it a go…

A bit of a mix, here, but these colours look great together.  I’ve used Jenni Bowlin, Basic Grey, & Cosmo Cricket papers, and the card is kraft (I’ve just discovered kraft and it’s fantastic!).  The rub on and rhinestones are by Kaisercraft, and I threaded leather through the metal button.  The floral rub on actually came from a $2 shop, but it matches well!  I had fun with this sketch, lots of little bits and pieces…
