Lots of scrapping

Filed under: Mini albums / Gift books — antheam @ 1:21 pm

This week I’m teaching at Chandon for the School Holiday program.  Funny thing is, though, that yesterday’s class was all adults, and today I had one child.  It’s still fun, though.  Yesterday we did a 12 x 12 layout, and today a double-page layout.  Tomorrow is the last class, and we’ll be covering wooden letters.  I’m looking forward to do something a bit different.  Classes are so popular that Chandon are currently working on the samples for April!

I’ve begun my teaching Emma scrapbooking on Monday nights at my house.  Working with just one other person is fun, too, because we get a lot done in a couple of hours.  Her album is coming along nicely.  The front cover is done now, and I think it looks lovely.

I’ve also just finished the book I’ve made for my Mum for her birthday next month.  I asked her what her favourite colours are, and I’ve used some of them for the book.  I’m happy with how it turned out.

There are more photos in my Flickr on the sidebar.  I hope Mum likes it.

Summer months are even quieter than ususal for me. so here’s a few notes/observations/happenings:

  • Pictured here are some of the little tags I’ve been making lately. I began making them a couple of weeks ago, and now I’ve made nearly 20! I think they’re addictive.  I’m using offcuts, words cut from old books, charms, brads, ribbons, etc. with chain attached to the top to hang.  I needed to hang them from something, so I bought a mug stand from a Salvo’s.  Perfect.  I don’t know what I will do with them, but for now I’m just having fun making these teeny pieces of prettiness.
