I make lists. I’m someone who likes to be organised and this helps a lot, especially when all the little things I have to do add up. That’s what it’s like at the moment. I love internet shopping and I have an aunty who won’t do it so I buy her stuff for her, but with Christmas coming up I have to organise who owes who what. I’m still waiting on a couple of packages for myself, and one thing I ordered turned out to be unavailable. The joys of communication via email.
Anyway, I did receive my first copy of ‘Somerset Memories’ magazine from Amazon.com this week, and it’s fantastic. I’ve bought all the Aussie scrapbooking magazines at one time or another, but they’re all so similar and my style is a bit different, so this is a great magazine. It’s more arty and individual, so I’m rather impressed. I’ve just emailed them some photos of my work, as I’m still on a quest to be published. I don’t seem to have what they look for, but I won’t give up. I’m determined to get published in something, somewhere.
I’ve made a couple of little paperbag giftbooks lately for Christmas presents, which was great fun. They don’t have photos, so I’ve used lots of quotes and pictures. It’s a fun way to use up a lot of stuff. Here they are, and there’s more detailed photos on my Flickr:
